According to Главком: Andriy Zadvornyy, who won the Ukrainian version of 'The Bachelorette' in 2021, has been mobilized into the Armed Forces of Ukraine and has joined a unit of the National Guard of Ukraine (NGU). At 37 years old, he has chosen to defend his country during the ongoing full-scale war.
Prior to his military service, Zadvornyy worked as an entrepreneur and was an active volunteer following the start of the war in Ukraine. His public profile rose in 2021 when singer Zlata Ognevich chose him in the finale of the reality dating show. The couple later separated, but Zadvornyy remained engaged in public service and volunteer activities.
“I joined the army, mobilized into a legendary NGU unit. As a volunteer, I had internally exhausted myself; I understand I am needed here and that this is where I can be most effective. Over the years of war, I have come to understand very clearly where my home is, where I feel I belong. I believe we must fight back to move forward.”
