Transfer ticket for various types of transport in Kyiv for 60 UAH: how to use it
Kyiv plans to change the payment system for public transport. The capital intends to introduce a transfer ticket for 90 minutes, as well as special unlimited travel passes for tourists and visitors. The new tariffs could come into effect as early as July 15, 2026. This is reported by the Kyiv City State Administration.
The transfer ticket in Kyiv will allow travel for 90 minutes
According to the initiative of the city authorities, the new transfer ticket will cost 60 hryvnias. Its main feature is the ability to transfer unlimitedly between metro and surface public transport within 90 minutes.
The Kyiv City State Administration believes that this system will simplify movement around the city and make trips more convenient for passengers who combine several modes of transport.
The innovation will concern both metro and public buses, trolleybuses, and trams.
Unlimited travel passes in Kyiv are being prepared for tourists
Separately, the city authorities propose to introduce short-term unlimited travel passes for guests of the city.
Preliminary prices will be as follows:

24-hour pass — 375 UAH;

48-hour pass — 563 UAH;

72-hour pass — 750 UAH.
Additionally, the Kyiv City State Administration clarified that trips purchased on transport cards before July 14, 2026, will remain valid for another two months — until September 14.
The introduction of new tariffs is planned after the completion of regulatory procedures and consultations with the public and trade unions.
In recent years, Kyiv has gradually been expanding digital services for payment and integrating various types of transport into a single system. Similar transfer tickets have long been in use in many European cities.
For passengers, this means more flexibility during transfers and the ability to save time on paying for individual trips on different modes of transport.
As a reminder, tickets for Kyiv City Express purchased in the Ukrainian Railways app can now be validated through orange terminals at each ring station.
