Poland changes rules for Ukraine: what Warsaw expects now
Poland has decided to change its approach to cooperation with Ukraine, moving from unilateral support to partnership with mandatory requirements. The head of the Bureau of International Policy at the President of Poland, Marcin Przydacz, stated that the period when Kyiv could simply 'call Warsaw' for assistance is irrevocably over.
Przydacz explained that Poland expects specific steps from Kyiv in the field of historical policy and economics. Conditions for high-level contacts and visits are being discussed, as indicated by the meeting of the Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, Andriy Yermak, with a government representative of Poland.
'It is clear that Poland has done a lot for Ukraine during this difficult period and continues to provide this support. In return, Poland expects certain actions from Ukraine, primarily in the field of history and economics,' emphasized Przydacz.
The head of the Bureau of International Policy emphasized that relations between countries should be built on mutual trust and interaction, rather than just on unilateral support. Warsaw is ready for a visit by the President of Ukraine to Poland, but the initiative must come from the Ukrainian side.
Poland is abandoning unilateral support in cooperation with Ukraine in favor of partnership with demands. Polish representatives expect specific actions from their Ukrainian colleagues in the fields of historical policy and economics, and actively propose high-level interaction to improve relations.
