According to hvylya.net: Recently, Ukrainians have noticed that vegetable prices have suddenly soared: cucumbers have increased by 66%, while tomatoes have risen by 51%. This has happened because of the cold weather, which led to a decrease in the number of greenhouse vegetables in the market.

According to information from EastFruit.

The supply of cucumbers from local greenhouses has decreased fivefold due to adverse weather conditions. Currently, the prices for greenhouse cucumbers range from 65 to 80 hryvnias per kilogram, while in supermarkets the price starts at 100 hryvnias per kilogram.

Tomatoes have become more expensive due to limited supply in the market and high demand. Prices for greenhouse tomatoes are currently at 50-60 hryvnias per kilogram, which on average is 51% higher than prices at the end of last week.

Thus, the reduction in the supply of greenhouse vegetables amid a manageable demand situation has made its impact, and prices for cucumbers and tomatoes have hit new records.
