The Zhytomyr football club 'Polissya' finished its performance in the qualification of the Conference League, losing to the Italian 'Fiorentina' with a score of 2:3 in the away match. Thus, the Ukrainian team was unable to advance to the next round, losing in the sum of two matches 2:6, as reported by 'Glavkom'.

The match started with a sensational lead by 'Polissya'. Already in the 2nd minute, Oleksandr Nazarenko opened the scoring, and in the 14th, Oleksandr Andriyevsky doubled the advantage with an impressive goal. However, in the second half, 'Fiorentina' resumed action. In the 78th minute, Dodo reduced the deficit, and at the end of the game, within three minutes, the Italians scored two more goals. Goals by Luka Ranieri in the 86th minute and Edin Dzeko in the 89th minute brought 'Fiorentina' victory with a score of 3:2.

Despite this defeat, 'Polissya' set a club record in European cups, progressing to the second round of qualification for the first time. Last season, the Zhytomyr team exited the tournament at this stage, losing to the Slovenians from 'Olympia'.

In the next round, teams that won at the 1/32 final stage will participate. Four Ukrainian clubs - 'Dynamo', 'Shakhtar', 'Polissya', and 'Oleksandriya' - have also joined the competitions.

At the same time, the head coach of the Ukrainian national team, Serhiy Rebrov, has prepared a list of players who will be preparing for the qualifying matches of the World Cup against France and Azerbaijan.

In the new match, the teams showed good football, but 'Polissya' could not achieve victory over the opponent, ending its participation in the qualification of the Conference League. Despite this, the team set a club record and advanced to the second round of qualification for the first time, surpassing its previous achievements. The fight continues in the Ukrainian cup, where the strongest football teams in the country are competing.
