According to hvylya.net:
US President Donald Trump returned to discussing possible territorial concessions to Russia during a meeting with Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky. However, the final decision was contradictory: 'to try to finish this at the current line,' Politico reported.
Trump stated that he believes President Putin wants to end the war in Donbas, but American sources clarified that the Russians plan to continue fighting. Zelensky was denied the provision of Tomahawk missiles to protect Ukraine from the Russian invasion, highlighting the complexity of the negotiation process.
Ukraine finds it unacceptable to transfer fortified territory in Donbas to Russia, which could open the way for further territorial seizures. European leaders are convinced that pressure on Kyiv should be reduced, and Ukraine should be supported in defending its interests.
During the meeting between the US and Ukrainian presidents, the situation in Donbas was discussed. Trump and Zelensky talked about possible actions by Russia, Putin's position, as well as the importance of supporting Ukraine in defending its territorial integrity.
