Poland has increased prices for work permits for foreigners: new tariffs from December 1
New tariffs for processing documents for foreigners in Poland
Starting from December 1, 2025, Poland will introduce new tariffs for processing documents for the employment of foreigners, which significantly raises their costs. The changes were approved by a resolution of the Ministry of Family, Labor, and Social Policy of Poland on November 20, 2025.
Changes in tariffs
According to the new tariffs, the price for the Work Permit has increased from 100 zlotys to 400 zlotys. The cost of a work permit for a term of up to 3 months has also significantly increased, now costing 200 zlotys instead of 50 zlotys. To apply for a work permit for more than 3 months, one will need to pay 400 zlotys, whereas previously this service cost 100 zlotys. Additionally, the price for the seasonal work order has risen from 50 zlotys to 100 zlotys.
In light of the increased prices for work permits, it is worth noting that as of January 1, 2026, there are also plans to increase the minimum wage to 4,806 zlotys gross, which is an increase of 140 zlotys compared to 2025. Moreover, a tax rate of 32% will be applied to income exceeding 120,000 zlotys gross per year.
The introduction of new tariffs for processing documents for foreigners in Poland reflects a change in the state's policy regarding the employment of foreign labor.
The rising cost of work legalization may significantly affect foreigners' decisions regarding employment in the country, as increased expenses could reduce Poland's attractiveness as a labor market. At the same time, the planned increase in the minimum wage could serve as an incentive to attract workers, but it will not offset the costs of legalization.
