Poland introduces transparent salaries: what will change for workers from 2025
Poland is preparing to make changes to the rules of payment and hiring. The new regulations require employers to disclose salaries and ensure equal pay conditions for men and women. These changes will come into effect on December 3, 2025, and one of the points includes publishing information about salary ranges for all job vacancies.
Now job candidates will have the right to know the salary conditions before signing a contract, and employers will not be able to ask applicants about their previous salaries. This will help future employees have more information about working conditions before the interview.
According to the Polish publication Infor.pl, these rules will allow working people to compare their salaries with market standards, which may lead to increased demands for salary raises. Larger corporations will also be subject to stricter requirements, including monitoring pay levels between women and men.
In addition, in the event of discovering gender discrimination in salary, employees will have the right to compensation. Although the European Union requires the implementation of changes by June 2026, Poland has decided to start implementing them as early as June 2025.
Poland is preparing for significant changes in legislation regarding payment. The new rules provide for greater transparency in salary calculations, prevention of gender discrimination, and creation of equal conditions for all employees. These changes will promote greater fairness in the labor market and may lead to salary increases in large companies.
