Famous singer D'Angelo has passed away: the neo-soul star could not overcome cancer
American singer, composer, and producer D'Angelo (Michael Eugene Archer) died at the age of 51 from pancreatic cancer after a long battle with oncology. His family expressed deep condolences and felt the words 'Our hearts are broken, we have lost not only a genius musician but also a son, a father, a brother, and a true friend.' D'Angelo is considered one of the key creators of the neo-soul movement, which combined funk, jazz, and R&B, inspiring a whole generation of musicians. In his last months, he spent time in the hospital with his loved ones due to his illness.

In connection with the tragic loss, artist Jamala expressed her condolences on Instagram, writing: 'Rest in peace.' The world is not the same without D'Angelo, but his music and talent will always remain in our hearts.
