Ministry of Justice warns property owners: what are the risks of not being in the registry

Documents for housing to the State Register
Міністерство юстиції закликає власників нерухомості: які небезпеки чекають на тих, хто не зареєстрований у реєстрі.

The Ministry of Justice urges property owners to register their property. The Ministry warns that owners of property rights registered before 2013 should independently add their property details to the State Register of Real Rights. This registration is becoming very important for property protection in wartime conditions and for the possibility of receiving compensation. Ukrainians who have property based on documents from before 2013 may consider that paper certificates are sufficient. However, the absence of information in the electronic register can lead to serious risks, such as raiding, loss of property, and fraudulent schemes. Therefore, it is important to add property to the registry to avoid problems when selling, donating, or inheriting, to receive compensation under the 'eRestoration' program, to protect against fraud, and to simplify court disputes. The procedure is voluntary and free of charge, so every owner can protect their property through registration.
