According to Мінфін: The European Council has decided to allocate 90 billion euros in financial assistance to Ukraine for 2026-2027. These loans will be funded through borrowings by the EU in capital markets, which will be guaranteed by the reserves of the EU budget.
The condition for repaying these loans is compensation for damages incurred by Ukraine during the conflict with Russia. This decision is aimed at ensuring continuous financing for Ukraine, particularly its budgetary and defense needs, starting from the second quarter of 2026.
