Evacuation in the Polohy District
According to ДСНС: This morning, rescue workers evacuated four individuals from a settlement in the Polohy district of the Zaporizhzhia region. All evacuees are now in a secure location, ensuring their safety amid the ongoing conflict. The Zaporizhzhia region has been a focal point of intense military activity since the full-scale invasion began.
Those evacuated include a family and their neighbor:
- An 82-year-old woman
- An 88-year-old man
- Their 67-year-old son
- A 69-year-old female neighbor
All four decided to leave their homes, driven by relentless shelling that had become unbearable. One of the evacuated women shared her emotional experience:
'We simply couldn't stay there any longer. We endured the entire war, sitting and waiting, thinking it would pass and end soon... But this is how it turned out. The strikes are constant, with shells flying one after another. We once had everything, and now we're left with just a few bags in our hands. We are so grateful to the rescuers who came for us and took us out of that hell.'
