According to hvylya.net: Financial Times published an exclusive investigation revealing the role of the USA in coordinating Ukrainian strikes on Russian energy facilities. According to the publication, American intelligence provides Kyiv with information for planning attacks on oil refineries and other strategic targets deep within Russia.

According to FT information from several Ukrainian and American officials familiar with the operation, the USA is involved in planning at all stages. American intelligence helps shape flight routes, determine the optimal altitude and timing for missions, allowing Ukraine's long-range kamikaze drones to bypass Russian air defense.

Three sources confirmed to FT that Washington is closely involved in the planning. One American official clarified that after Ukraine selects targets for strikes, Washington provides intelligence data on the vulnerabilities of the facilities.

A New Level of Detail from American Intelligence

Four individuals familiar with Ukraine's drone strike operation reported that after a July call to Kyiv, American intelligence began arriving with a new level of detail. This information helped Ukraine better map Russian air defense and plan strike routes.

FT notes that the role of the USA in these operations had not previously been officially acknowledged. Washington avoids actions that could escalate the conflict with Moscow.

Several Ukrainian and American officials confirmed that the USA actively assists Ukraine in planning strikes on Russian facilities through coordination and providing up-to-date information for the successful conduct of operations. This investigation brings a new level of understanding of the influence of American intelligence on military actions in Ukraine.
