Chronicle of the Attacks on Dnipro

According to Главком: On February 28, 2024, the Russian military launched a drone assault on Ukrainian cities, triggering a series of powerful explosions in Dnipro. The attack ignited a fire in one of the city's districts. Initial reports from rescue services indicated no casualties from this specific strike.

This was not an isolated incident. In the early hours of February 17, Russian forces also struck Dnipro, causing a fire and damaging an administrative building and several cars. Furthermore, on February 12, Russian forces targeted Dnipro with ballistic missiles and drones. This earlier attack wounded two children-an infant and a four-year-old girl, both of whom are currently receiving medical treatment.

Consequences of the Assaults

The February 12 attack also caused partial destruction to a 16-story residential building, where fires broke out in two apartments, covering a total area of 200 square meters. Rescue workers successfully evacuated 16 people from the upper floors of the damaged building. Preliminary information confirms six people were injured, including one child.

These strikes underscore the escalating intensity of hostilities in the region and the grave risks to civilians. Dnipro, a major industrial and logistical hub in central Ukraine, has been a frequent target since the full-scale invasion began. The repeated targeting of residential and administrative buildings highlights the severe consequences of the war for the civilian population and the ongoing need for humanitarian aid.
