Ongoing Violence in Kherson and Donetsk

According to Главком: Even after a ceasefire was declared, Russian troops continue to target civilian infrastructure in Ukraine's Kherson and Donetsk regions. Over the past 24 hours, units of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine (SESU) have extinguished several fires caused by these attacks.

In the city of Druzhkivka, a drone strike ignited a blaze in a nine-story residential building. Meanwhile, in Kramatorsk, Russian forces hit fuel storage facilities, causing gas tanks to catch fire at two separate gas stations. In the Kherson region, shelling set a private home ablaze, destroying the house and two vehicles. Fortunately, no casualties were reported in either area.

Drone Strikes and Humanitarian Toll

Beyond these incidents, Russian forces also launched drone attacks on two districts in the Dnipropetrovsk region over the past day, injuring a child. These events highlight the deteriorating security situation and the ongoing threat to civilians across Ukraine.

The declared ceasefire has done little to curb Russian military activity, raising alarm among local populations and the international community. The relentless bombardment of civilian sites underscores the severity of the humanitarian crisis in affected regions. It also casts doubt on the viability of peace talks and the prospect of achieving lasting stability in the near future.

As the situation remains dire, recent events have further escalated tensions across Ukraine. In a related incident, an elderly couple tragically lost their lives, and 15 others were injured during overnight Russian strikes on Odesa and Dnipro. This highlights the ongoing risks faced by civilians, even as the conflict continues to evolve.
