According to glavcom.ua: Ukrainian officials told The Times in an interview that the Kremlin demands from children abducted in Ukraine who have reached the age of 18 to join the front. This is done for two reasons - to replenish the Russian army and for psychological warfare against Ukrainians. According to officials, this is happening on the orders of Putin himself.

According to reports, about 35 thousand children have been taken from temporarily occupied territories, but the exact number of Ukrainians conscripted into the Russian army is unknown. However, the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine claims that the government has evidence of this conscription, including documents.

«The Russians want to destroy a new generation of Ukrainians and create new soldiers against the country where they were born. This is terrible,» said the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, according to The Times.

After 2022, deported Ukrainians increasingly join the Russian army, researchers report. Most first end up in «re-education camps», and then in military educational institutions. The Humanitarian Studies Laboratory has identified 116 places of detention for children, mostly in Russia.

UN shocked by the increase in violations of children's rights due to Russia's aggression against Ukraine

The UN Secretary-General noted a rise in serious violations of children's rights due to Russia's armed aggression against Ukraine this year. The Russian army has made it back onto the «shame list». The occupiers use Ukrainian children to collect FPV drones, which are then used in anti-terrorist operations against Ukraine.

The Russian Kremlin forces abducted Ukrainian children to join the Russian army - this is not only a violation of the law but also a psychological war against Ukraine aimed at destabilizing the situation in the country. Experts note the rise of this phenomenon and emphasize the need for the government to take measures to counter this practice.
