Attacks Across Ukraine

According to Главком: Russian military forces have continued their assaults on Ukrainian territory, targeting the Sumy and Zaporizhzhia regions. A massive, coordinated strike involving various types of missiles and drones was recorded on the night of February 26. On February 27, Russian forces attacked the city of Sumy, where a strike drone hit a building in the city center, followed by a second impact at the same location.

Situation in Zaporizhzhia Region

The Zaporizhzhia region also came under fire. An attack using drones on the Zaporizhzhia district injured four people, including one teenager. The strikes ignited fires in:

  • two residential buildings,
  • an outbuilding,
  • a passenger car,
  • a low-pressure gas pipeline.

The blast wave and debris caused partial damage to nearby homes.

The combined assault on February 26 involved the use of multiple weapon systems:

  • Tsirkon anti-ship missiles,
  • Iskander-M and S-400 ballistic missiles,
  • Kh-101 cruise missiles,
  • Kh-69 guided air-to-surface missiles,
  • 420 attack drones of the Shahed, Gerbera, and Itlamas types.

The adversary attacked Ukraine with two Tsirkon anti-ship missiles launched from temporarily occupied Crimea. The February 26 attack also included 11 Iskander-M and S-400 ballistic missiles fired from Russia's Bryansk and Rostov regions, as well as 24 Kh-101 cruise missiles launched from the Vologda region.

People in dangerous situations were evacuated in a timely manner.

"There are no casualties. All consequences are being eliminated," stated Oleh Grygorov.

These attacks on the Sumy and Zaporizhzhia regions are part of the ongoing armed conflict between Ukraine and Russia, now in its third year. The use of such a diverse arsenal signals an escalation in hostilities and poses a severe threat to civilian safety. The emergency response operations, including damage control and evacuations, highlight the critical need for local services to maintain readiness for war-related crises. This latest barrage represents one of the most intense aerial bombardments in recent months.
