Russian Military Strikes Target Mykolaiv Region
According to Главком: Russian forces launched a missile strike on the Bashtansky district of the Mykolaiv region, cutting off power to two villages. The morning attack is believed to have been carried out using an Iskander-M ballistic missile. The strike damaged a warehouse belonging to a farming enterprise and an overhead power line, leaving 123 consumers without electricity. Repair efforts are underway, and no casualties have been reported.
Attacks on the Ochakiv Community
In a separate series of incidents over the past day, Russian troops attacked the Ochakiv community in the Mykolaiv district four times using FPV drones. Throughout the day, air defense forces managed to shoot down or suppress six Shahed 131/136 attack drones, along with various types of decoy drones.
In the early hours of March 4, a Russian military helicopter was likely shot down during air defense operations in Russia's Rostov region. According to Vitaliy Kim,
'Yesterday morning, the enemy struck the territory of the Bashtansky district, preliminarily with an Iskander-M type ballistic missile. The attack damaged a warehouse of a farming enterprise and an overhead power line. Two settlements in the district were left without power; currently, 123 consumers remain without electricity. Restoration work is ongoing. There are no casualties.' Vitaliy Kim
These events are part of the ongoing conflict between Ukraine and Russia, where both sides employ a wide array of military assets, including ballistic missiles and drones. The attacks on civilian infrastructure, such as warehouses and power supplies, highlight the severe consequences for local populations who suffer from the loss of electricity and other basic services. The situation in the region remains tense, and restoring critical infrastructure requires significant time and resources. The Mykolaiv region, a key agricultural and shipbuilding area in southern Ukraine, has been a frequent target since the war's outset.
