According to glavcom.ua: State Duma Deputy Vladimir Plyakin expressed the opinion that Russia should ban the construction of apartment buildings with gas stoves and heating. He believes that abandoning gas could prevent tragedies. In particular, Plyakin pointed out that gas services do not always cope with the workload, and this increases risks.

It is necessary to consider at the legislative level the refusal to use gas in new apartment buildings, in order to avoid similar tragedies in the future.

According to Plyakin, switching to electric power will help reduce the likelihood of explosions. Recently, an explosion occurred in Saratov due to a gas leak and the explosion of a gas-air mixture, resulting in the destruction of four floors of a building. As a result, six people died, and 15 were injured.
