According to glavcom.ua: A Moscow court has issued a verdict in absentia against writer Boris Akunin (real name - Grigory Chkhartishvili) – 14 years of imprisonment in a strict regime colony. This was reported by Russian media, citing the 'Glaфkom' portal.
He was proven to have assisted terrorist activities, justified terrorism, and evaded the obligations of an 'foreign agent.' In addition, the writer received a fine of 400,000 rubles and a ban on managing internet pages for four years after his release.
According to the prosecution, from January to April 2025, Akunin published 'at least 33 materials' in his Telegram channel without indicating that they were related to the activities of a 'foreign agent.'

The prosecution advocated for an 18-year sentence for the writer in a strict regime colony.
