Egg prices are soaring again: when to expect the peak of price increases
According to hvylya.net: Egg prices in Ukraine have started to rise again due to problems with hen productivity and increasing feed costs. Analyst Maksym Hopka from the Ukrainian Agribusiness Club believes that this trend will continue.
'Today, a dozen eggs will cost between 73.5 to 77.5 hryvnias, but this is not the limit,' emphasized Hopka.
According to the expert, the main reason for the price increase is the rising cost of feed, especially corn. In addition, due to the natural decrease in the productivity of poultry in the fall, egg prices begin to rise. There is a gradual increase in prices this year, unlike the sharp rise last year, when prices increased by 40% in November due to the rise in feed costs.
The expert predicts that in November-December, egg prices will continue to rise and then stabilize. The further movement of prices will depend on the yield of feed crops and the overall situation in poultry farms.
Ukrainians can expect higher egg prices in stores in the coming months due to problems with bird productivity and increasing feed costs. Experts predict price stabilization after November-December, but everything will depend on the situation with feed cultivation. For now, egg prices continue to rise, and consumers should be prepared for this.
