Ukrainian Defense Forces Strike Russian S-300 Systems, Drone Hubs, and Supply Depots
Ukrainian Defense Forces Conduct Major Operation
According to Главком: In a coordinated series of strikes, Ukraine's Defense Forces targeted critical Russian military infrastructure, including air defense systems, ammunition depots, and drone command centers. The operation was carried out on the night of February 28 and March 1, 2026, on both occupied Ukrainian territory and within the Russian Federation. According to the General Staff, the strikes successfully hit key enemy military assets, demonstrating Ukraine's capacity to project force deep into Russian-held areas.
Targets Struck
The operation resulted in the destruction or damage of the following targets:
- S-300 air defense system radar stations near the settlements of Mangush and Novokrasnivka (temporarily occupied Donetsk Oblast).
- An ammunition depot in the Yalta area.
- A concentration of personnel in Molodoy Shakhtar (Donetsk Oblast).
- A fuel and lubricants storage site in Pryshyb.
- A repair unit in Bahativka (temporarily occupied Zaporizhzhia Oblast).
- Concentrations of personnel in the areas of Dunaevka and Poltavka.
- Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) command posts in Prilezye (Belgorod Oblast, Russia) and near Rodynske (Donetsk Oblast).
- An area of personnel concentration in Stepnohirsk.
- A UAV command post in Uspenivka (Zaporizhzhia Oblast).
It is also worth noting that on the night of February 27, an oil depot in Luhansk was struck, along with fuel and lubricants depots near Mariupol, Novotoretske, and Kopteve in Donetsk Oblast.
"Defense Forces struck S-300 radar stations and logistical facilities of the occupiers," the General Staff reported.
This operation showcased the Ukrainian military's ability to strike strategically significant enemy targets, degrading Russian military capabilities in the region. These strikes are part of a broader Ukrainian strategy to disrupt Russian supply lines, command and control, and air defense networks ahead of potential future offensives. By systematically targeting such assets, Ukraine aims to erode the logistical and operational foundation of Russian forces in the occupied territories.
