Financial support for families with children in frontline areas

Households with children living in conflict zones will receive financial assistance to prepare for the winter of 2025-2026. UNICEF, with the support of the German Embassy, will allocate 19.4 thousand UAH to each family.

According to UNICEF, assistance has already reached many families, including 21,465 households living within 10 km of the front line.

'This support will help prepare for another difficult winter - to ensure warmth, necessary items for children, and other essential needs,' emphasized the organization.

The program provides support to residents of frontline areas within 0-20 km of combat zones. Assistance will be provided to households with children within 10 km of the front, and single parents, large families, and families with children with disabilities from 10 to 20 km.

The program is being implemented in the Chernihiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Kharkiv, Kherson, Sumy, and Zaporizhzhia regions. The amount of assistance is 19.4 thousand UAH per family and does not depend on the number of children. Payments are planned to be completed in October 2025.

In addition to financial assistance, UNICEF will also support cities by repairing heat networks, installing mobile boilers, and updating heating systems. Details of the program can be learned by calling the hotline: 0 800 600 017 (weekdays from 08:00 to 20:00, Saturday from 09:00 to 18:00).

We remind you that administrative fees will be canceled for one category of citizens in Ukraine.

The Ukrainian office of UNICEF, in cooperation with the German Embassy, has launched a financial support program for families with children in frontline areas. Each family will receive assistance to prepare for the winter season, which will help ensure warmth and necessary items for children during the cold months. This initiative allows support for those affected by military actions and ensures the essentials for their comfort and safety.
