New Directives from Ukraine's Top Commander

According to Главком: Oleksandr Syrskyi, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, has ordered stricter quality control for the training of military personnel in educational centers and brigades. This initiative introduces several new mechanisms, including:

  • an audit of basic general military training;
  • a comprehensive final exam for new recruits;
  • an automated system for collecting trainee feedback.

The audit of basic training quality began last autumn. This process is designed to identify weaknesses in the training curriculum and raise the overall standard of preparation. Recruits arriving from training centers will now undergo a comprehensive exam to assess their skills and readiness for active duty.

Automated Feedback System

Furthermore, an automated system for gathering and analyzing feedback on training quality is being implemented. The military is testing the possibility of submitting electronic feedback through the integrated 'Delta' cognitive system. This aims to enhance the efficiency of feedback and allow training programs to be better adapted to the needs of service members.

Key aspects of these new changes also focus on safety and include:

  • organizing air cover for training locations;
  • constructing and equipping shelters;
  • conducting essential basic training in brigade rear areas only to the necessary extent while strictly adhering to safety protocols.

"We must raise the bar and achieve better results regarding the quality of instructors and their attitude toward their work, as well as the equipment of training centers and proving grounds, safety, and social-living conditions."

Oleksandr Syrskyi

These measures are expected to improve the quality of military training and ensure the safety of personnel during the process. This overhaul comes as Ukraine continues to adapt its military forces to the demands of a prolonged, high-intensity conflict. The new control and feedback mechanisms could significantly impact how training programs are tailored to real-world conditions, thereby enhancing the overall combat readiness of the army.
