How many units of public transport has the Czech Republic delivered and to which cities in Ukraine
Since the beginning of the full-scale war, Czech and Slovak cities have delivered 216 units of public transport — buses, trams, and trolleybuses that were decommissioned but remained operational. This was reported by AutoConsulting.
The transport goes into use by Ukrainian cities, and local enterprises provide technical preparation and documentation for the transfer. According to Martin Chvala, the executive director of the Association of Transport Enterprises of the Czech Republic, this is not about symbolic support, but about real vehicles that carry thousands of people every day.

Assistance from Czech cities: how transport supports Ukrainian infrastructure
The delivered vehicles replace destroyed equipment and help cities that have received a large number of internally displaced persons. Part of the transport is delivered by the Ukrainian side at its own expense.
The relevant association emphasizes that the support is a manifestation of European solidarity and responsibility. In this way, the Czech Republic strengthens cooperation with Ukrainian communities and supports the stability of urban mobility in wartime conditions.
It is noteworthy that the Ukrainian government approved the allocation of 2 billion UAH for the purchase of school buses in 2026. These funds will be used to purchase over 540 buses, which will improve the conditions for transporting students to educational institutions.
