Investigators announced a new suspicion over the supply of beds for the army: overpayment of 4 million

A scandal is brewing again in Dnipro! An official from the local housing exploitation office has fallen under the hot hand of law enforcement. The State Bureau of Investigations found that he arranged spectacular fraud during the procurement of beds for the military units in our region for the second time.

The first time he organized a tender for 5 thousand bunk beds for a total sum of 28 million hryvnias, although their actual cost was significantly lower - only 18 million. Now, a new 'setup' has emerged - additional 2 thousand beds, for which the state had to pay a little more than they were worth.

'Now investigators have established another similar scheme. Just two months after the first tender, the same official signed a new agreement with the same company for the supply of an additional 2 thousand beds. The overpayment this time amounted to almost 4 million UAH,' the Bureau reported.

Another sad story

Also in the city, the head of one of the housing exploitation offices was charged with negligence towards a serviceman under martial law. Despite the serious consequences of this offense, it could ruin lives for 8 years. The state is also anticipating a lawsuit for compensation for the damages incurred.
