Russia lured 200 Kenyans into the war in Ukraine: how the deception scheme works
According to glavcom.ua: The Russian army continues to recruit citizens of other countries for military actions against Ukraine. One of the scandalous cases occurred with Kenyan citizens who, according to Bloomberg, were enlisted in the Russian troops. One Kenyan, who initially arrived in the Russian Federation as a guard, later discovered that his real job was on the front line in Ukraine.
Kenyan citizens found themselves in this situation through recruiting agencies and companies linked to Russia. According to the Kenyan Attorney General, about 200 residents of Kenya received false information about their future jobs in the Russian army.
'Upon arrival, I found that the actual task was to obtain firearms and be sent to the front line in Ukraine, which was not specified in the contract and was not the job I had agreed to,' said one of the Kenyans.
These events undoubtedly reveal Russia's cynical approach to involving foreigners in its military operations and urge for increased international pressure on the Kremlin regarding violations of international law.
