Parking Fines Now Accessible Through the Diia App: Service Launches in Seven Cities

Parking in cities: new service Diia
Система штрафів за паркування стала доступною в додатку Дія: новий сервіс з'явився в семи містах.

Expanded Features for the Diia App

According to Главком: The Diia app has been updated to include parking violation fines, providing drivers with a convenient way to view and manage their penalties. This new service, which is now live in seven Ukrainian cities, allows users to check the details of citations issued by parking inspectors and their payment status directly within the app or their personal electronic driver's account. This is part of a broader push to digitize government services in Ukraine.

Previously, the app's digital services only displayed fines for traffic violations that were either automatically recorded or issued by patrol officers. Now, thanks to technical upgrades implemented by Ukraine's Ministry of Internal Affairs in collaboration with local community representatives and specialists from DP Infotech, drivers have access to a wider range of fine-related information.

Launch Cities for the New Service

The service is currently operational in the following cities:

  • Zhytomyr
  • Khmelnytskyi
  • Lviv
  • Dnipro
  • Drohobych
  • Bila Tserkva
  • Vinnytsia
"The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, together with representatives of territorial communities and specialists from DP Infotech, has carried out the necessary technical refinements and service configurations to ensure the timely and correct display of data," said Ihor Klymenko.

In a related development, military personnel and veterans in Kyiv can park for free, but they must first confirm their status in the Kyiv Digital app. Separately, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has approved a draft law that would increase fines for parking in spaces designated for people with disabilities. "We continue the digitalization of MIA services so that every citizen has convenient, transparent, fast, and secure access to government services," added Ihor Klymenko.

The introduction of these new functions in the Diia app represents a significant step toward improving citizens' access to information about fines, which could help enhance road discipline. This expansion of the Ministry of Internal Affairs' digital services also underscores the Ukrainian government's commitment to modernizing public services and streamlining citizen-state interaction through technology.

As the digital landscape evolves, the Ukrainian Ministry of Internal Affairs is making significant changes to its service offerings. In light of recent updates regarding the halting of operations at service centers, it's crucial for citizens to stay informed about the latest developments.
