According to Главком: A hearing took place on May 5 at the Shevchenkivskyi District Court in Lviv for Vyacheslav Zinchenko, who is charged with the murder of Iryna Farion. Previously, Zinchenko's pre-trial detention was extended for 60 days without the option of bail.

Details of the Court Proceedings

Notice of the May 4 hearing was sent to the lawyer's electronic account on May 3 at 8:45 PM, which Kryvoruchko argued occurred outside of working hours. She commented:

“She was not notified of the hearing in a timely manner.” - Larysa Kryvoruchko

Presiding Judge Petro Nevoyt announced that the motion to disqualify the entire judicial panel was also rejected. The court cited the automated case assignment system, emphasizing that “the selection of a judge or panel is carried out randomly by the automated system, and any interference in the process is technically impossible.”

Vyacheslav Zinchenko is 18 years old. He is accused of murdering Iryna Farion, who died on July 19, 2024, after an attack on Masaryk Street in Lviv. The indictment was submitted to the court by prosecutors from the Lviv Regional Prosecutor's Office. Zinchenko faces a potential life sentence. The court's ruling on the disqualification of the judicial panel is final and cannot be appealed.
