Starlink Direct to Cell has launched on iPhone: how to send SMS via satellite

According to Мінцифра: The update of the Starlink Direct to Cell service for iOS from Apple has arrived in Ukraine! Now iPhone owners can send SMS via satellite directly to their smartphones. This new technology is already available for iPhone 13 and newer models with iOS version 26.2 thanks to an agreement between Kyivstar and Apple.

More than 2 million Ukrainians have already tested the capabilities of satellite communication, which provides stable communication even when regular mobile signal is absent. This opens up new possibilities for communication in remote areas or in emergency situations when other networks do not function properly.
