Fixed Gas Tariffs for Ukrainian Households

According to ХВИЛЯ: Ukrainian households will continue to pay a fixed price for natural gas until the end of April 2026. This price stability, which provides predictability for consumers, is part of a government-mandated tariff freeze. The state-owned company Naftogaz of Ukraine, which serves approximately 12.5 million households, has its price set at 7.96 hryvnias per cubic meter.

The 'Fixed' tariff plan has been extended through April 30, 2026. This measure is supported by a nationwide moratorium on raising prices for gas distribution, heating, and hot water, which is in effect for the duration of the martial law and for six months after its termination. This policy is designed to shield the population from economic hardship during a period of instability. For context, Ukraine has maintained regulated energy prices to protect consumers since the full-scale invasion began.

Pricing from Alternative Gas Suppliers

Other suppliers in the market offer gas at the following rates per cubic meter:

  • Prykarpattransgaz LLC - 7.98 hryvnias
  • Galnaftogaz LLC - 7.99 hryvnias
  • Lvivenergozbut LLC - 8.20 hryvnias
  • Dniprovski Energetychni Posluhy (Yasno) LLC - 8.46 hryvnias
  • Askania Energy LLC - 9.95 hryvnias

The distribution fee for gas is calculated based on a household's consumption volume from the previous gas year (October through September). Consequently, the delivery charge on April's utility bill will remain unchanged from the previous months of this year.

"Gas supply for the population remains a core part of our mission. We are committed to maintaining supply stability and fulfilling our obligations to consumers, even under extremely challenging circumstances," stated Roman Chumak.

The guaranteed price stability for natural gas is a crucial factor in supporting the welfare of Ukrainian households during the economic turmoil caused by the war. The government's moratorium on raising utility tariffs further demonstrates its intent to protect citizens from potential financial strain due to rising energy costs, a measure that contributes to social stability in the country.
