Gas and electricity tariffs 2026
Тарифи на газ і електроенергію залишаються стабільними: прогнози для українців до другої половини 2026 року.

Gas and electricity tariffs in Ukraine

Gas and electricity tariffs in Ukraine will remain unchanged until April 2026. The cost of one cubic meter of gas will remain at 7.96 UAH, and the 'Fixed' tariff will apply until the end of April 2026. The Cabinet of Ministers has extended the regulation on special obligations until April 30, 2026, ensuring price stability for consumers.

Electricity tariff plans

The basic electricity rate in December will be 4.32 UAH per kWh. According to preferential tariffs, electricity consumption up to 2000 kWh will cost consumers 2.64 UAH, while for volumes exceeding 2000 kWh the tariff will remain at 4.32 UAH. For owners of two-zone meters, the cost of electricity during night hours will be 2.16 UAH per kWh.

  • Tariff plans for three-zone meters offer:
    • Basic tariff: 4.32 UAH
    • Peak hours: 6.48 UAH
    • Minimum tariff: 1.73 UAH
  • Families using electricity for heating will receive benefits:
    • Up to 2000 kWh: 2.64 UAH during the day and 1.32 UAH at night
    • Over 2000 kWh: 4.32 UAH during the day and 2.16 UAH at night

Additionally, partial compensation has been introduced for consumers: one person can receive compensation for 100 kWh (432 UAH), and a family can receive up to 300 kWh (1296 UAH) per month. By keeping gas and electricity tariffs unchanged until 2026, the government aims to provide stability for Ukrainians during a challenging time.

The government’s decision to maintain gas and electricity tariffs until 2026 aims to reduce the financial burden on the population, especially amid economic instability and challenges related to the war. This may also reflect the government's efforts toward social support.

Introducing compensation for consumers also indicates the authorities' intention to mitigate possible negative consequences of rising energy prices in the future.
