Changes in trade with the EU: which products have seen quotas rise by 500%
As of October 29, 2025, changes to tariffs in mutual trade between Ukraine and the European Union have come into force, marking a new stage in cooperation between the countries, as reported by the State Customs Service.
Decision No. 3/2025, adopted in the framework of the Association Agreement between Ukraine and the EU, provides for the cancellation or significant reduction of import duties and an increase in tariff quotas for Ukrainian products when exporting them to the EU.
'This creates new opportunities for Ukrainian exporters. Lower import duties and increased quota volumes will stimulate exports and help Ukrainian products enter new markets. For Ukraine, this is an important signal of deepening integration into the EU, which enhances investment attractiveness and strengthens the competitiveness of Ukrainian manufacturers,' customs officials noted. The quota size for Ukrainian products has been increased in the manner specified in the list. These changes open up new opportunities for export and demonstrate the deepening of cooperation between Ukraine and the EU.
