The International Testing Agency (ITA) confirmed that the banned substance entered her body through sexual contact. For nine months, the athlete defended her name and reputation.

«On February 5, 2025, I was informed of the presence of ligandrol in my urine sample, which, according to ITA's decision, was caused by sexual contact. At that moment, the world I had built around myself throughout my professional career collapsed,» said Imogen.

Research showed that traces of the substance entered Imogen's body through intimate contact. This means that the triathlete will not be disqualified. Her future plans in sports are yet to be determined, but she confirms that she remains committed to triathlon.

This is not the first case where athletes face similar issues. Ukrainian tennis player Dayana Yastremska and canoeist Laurence Vincent-Lapointe also managed to appeal their disqualifications due to intimate relationships. Fencer Izaora Tibu has a similar experience.
