According to Главком: In the Bucha district of the Kyiv region, an Audi Q5 was set on fire following a conflict involving the family of a 28-year-old woman. The incident occurred in the town of Hostomel, on a street near a private residence. According to law enforcement, a 46-year-old man is the suspect, who used a fuel-lubricant substance to start the blaze. The fire completely destroyed the vehicle, and no injuries were reported.

Authorities have announced that the suspect has been charged under Article 194, Part 2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. This charge carries a maximum penalty of up to ten years in prison.

Other Arson Cases in Kyiv

Additionally, two more car arson incidents occurred in Kyiv:

  • In the Dnipro district, a 54-year-old man was arrested for setting a car on fire as revenge against his former boss after being fired. He smashed the vehicle’s window with a rock and ignited the interior.
  • In the third case, a 27-year-old woman was charged after, while intoxicated, she set fire to trash under a Ford, which resulted in damage to two vehicles.
