A Half Meter of Snow Fell in the Carpathians: Rescuers Warn Tourists
Mountain rescuers of Prykarpattia reported that true winter weather has settled in the Carpathians. A heavy snowfall and significant deterioration of weather conditions were recorded on Mount Pip Ivan Chornohorsky. This was reported by Glavcom, citing the rescuers.
According to the Chornohirsk Mountain Search and Rescue Post, snowdrifts up to half a meter high have formed at the summit of the mountain.

As of the morning of October 1, the weather indicators were:
- Air temperature: -5°C.
- Wind: gusts reach 12 m/s.
- Visibility: limited, snow continues.
Rescuers urge tourists to refrain from going to high-altitude areas due to difficult conditions and dangers associated with strong winds and limited visibility.
It is worth noting that on September 29, 2025, winter weather prevails in the highlands of the Ukrainian Carpathians.
