The EU Council has made a decision: Ukraine will receive 2.3 billion euros in new aid

According to Мінфін: Ukraine will receive 2.3 billion euros from the European Union. This news was announced after the EU Council made the relevant decision. Of this amount, 2.1 billion euros will be loan funds, and 200 million euros will be provided as a grant.
This funding will be used for urgent social and humanitarian needs in Ukraine. In total, by 2024-2027, Ukraine is expected to receive around 50 billion euros under the Ukraine Facility. Already by 2024, over 24.4 billion euros has been received in the Ukrainian budget, of which more than 8.3 billion euros is expected in 2025.
Ukrainian Finance Minister Serhiy Marchenko expressed gratitude to European partners for the implementation of the Ukraine Facility instrument. He emphasized that this financial support is stable and predictable, allowing the government to maintain financial stability and provide social payments. The minister also noted that thanks to cooperation with the EU, Ukraine continues to reform and get closer to EU membership.
