According to glavcom.ua: On the evening of September 30, an unmanned aerial vehicle was detected near Bronnoysund airport in Norway. Airport staff spotted the drone in the air and immediately called the police, but they could not identify the person operating it. This was reported by the Norwegian national broadcaster NRK, as reported by 'Glavcom'.

After the drone was discovered in the airport control tower, one of the flights was redirected, and the airport was temporarily closed for the night. The police initiated search operations, but they yielded no results.

A representative of the Nordland police district, Morten Sørensen, noted: 'We have concluded our search using the available police resources in the area. We observed the drone in the air but were unable to localize the pilot associated with it. Therefore, after we completed our search, operations at the site were suspended.'

The spokesperson for Avinor airport, Karoline Persen, also confirmed that the last flight landed successfully as scheduled. The airport was closed for the night but will reopen in the morning on October 1 according to the usual timetable.

Other cases of drone sightings at Norwegian and Dutch airports

It should be noted that on Sunday evening, September 28, Norway recorded two cases of unknown drones appearing in no-fly zones near airports. Passenger flights were forced to be redirected.

Additionally, on September 27, two NATO member countries, Norway and the Netherlands, reported incidents involving the detection of unidentified flying objects resembling drones.

In Norway, another case of a drone appearing near the airport was recorded, leading to flight diversions and the temporary closure of the airport. The police are investigating these events and searching for the person controlling the drone.
