Lavrov sets a condition for a meeting with Rubio: what was agreed in Alaska

Putin negotiations interests Ukraine
Лавров висунув умови зустрічі з Рубіо: деталі домовленостей, досягнутих в Алясці.

According to hvylya.net: In a comment to one of the Russian propaganda publications, Lavrov confirmed that there is regular contact between him and Rubio, including in a telephone format. He stated that the parties 'understand the importance of constant dialogue' and do not rule out a personal meeting.

The head of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Sergey Lavrov, stated that he is ready for a personal meeting with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, but he set a condition — any negotiations on ending the war against Ukraine must take into account 'Moscow's interests'.
According to the Russian minister, he considers the summer negotiations in Alaska between Putin and Donald Trump as the basis for possible agreements. It was then, according to Lavrov, that the American side allegedly assured the Kremlin that it 'could guarantee a constructive position from Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky'. At the same time, he acknowledged that 'there have been certain difficulties' regarding this, hinting at the lack of progress in the resolution.
Separately, Lavrov accused European allies of the US of pressuring Washington. According to him, 'Brussels and London are convincing Americans to abandon the diplomatic path and to rely on military pressure against Russia'. Earlier, Trump explained at a meeting with Orban why he canceled the summit with Putin.

Sergey Lavrov expressed readiness for negotiations with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, but emphasized the need to consider Russia's interests in any negotiations regarding the situation in Ukraine. Meanwhile, progress in resolving the conflict in eastern Ukraine remains uncertain, especially after the difficulties encountered during negotiations in Alaska.
