Fuel prices in Ukraine are set to rise by 10%: when to expect price increases
According to hvylya.net: It is known that from the beginning of next year, fuel prices in Ukraine could rise by 7-10%. This warning was issued by experts, roughly indicating an increase in excise duties. This means that in addition to the price of fuel, an additional 1.5-2 hryvnias per liter will be paid, as well as a surcharge of 5%.
Fuel stations earn 8 hryvnias per liter
It has been noted that fuel prices in Ukraine are already inflated by 14-16% as there is no state regulation. Also, the concentration of the market in the hands of a few large companies complicates the situation, which may lead to monopolization and further price increases.
Experts estimate the threat of fuel shortages at 40%, which may lead to price spikes and supply problems. Therefore, citizens are advised to prepare in advance, including leaving a few canisters for fuel reserves.
In connection with the new phase of excise duty increases starting from January 1, 2026, the cost of automotive fuel will also increase:
- Gasoline: from 271.7 euros to 300.8 euros per ton.
- Diesel: from 215.7 euros to 253.8 euros per ton.
- LPG: from 173 euros to 198 euros per ton.
In November of this year, fuel prices in the country looked as follows:
- Gasoline A-95 (retail): 58.66 UAH/liter
- Diesel (retail): 56.52 UAH/liter
- Auto gas (retail): 34.46 UAH/liter
The mentioned stability may be temporary, as a radical change in the fuel market situation is expected in the coming months.
