Ukraine prepares for winter: who will not be left without electricity during outages
According to hvylya.net: Deputy Minister of Energy of Ukraine Nikolay Kolesnik explained how the accumulation of energy resources takes place before the start of the autumn-winter period. According to him, the government has already approved plans for the accumulation of coal and fuel oil for the upcoming heating season.
'Currently, the injection of natural gas into underground storage facilities is ongoing in accordance with calculations. The Ministry of Energy is also actively working to attract financing for the import of gas needed for heating in winter. Similar measures are being implemented together with national banks,' Kolesnik emphasized.
Criteria have also been approved to determine the facilities that will receive priority electricity supply in case of power outages in the future. The Deputy Minister urged local administrations to expedite the connection of distributed generation facilities to improve cooperation with international partners.
Ukraine is actively preparing for the winter period, ensuring the accumulation of necessary energy resources and developing measures for reliable electricity supply in the face of potential challenges. The government's efforts are aimed at ensuring the comfort and safety of citizens during the heating season.
