Ukraine to Gain Access to EU Secure Satellites: What This Means

The European Commission has expressed a recommendation to start negotiations with Ukraine regarding its participation in the European Union's strategic space programs. The planned agreement involves the inclusion of Ukraine in the governmental satellite programs GOVSATCOM and the EU Secure Communication Program.

GOVSATCOM is a secure satellite communication system that brings together resources from EU member states and private operators. Ukraine will have the opportunity to use secure communication channels at the European level, which is particularly relevant in the context of conflict.
