EU Delivers 300 Generators to Ukraine: Priority Regions and Facilities Identified

EU Generator Delivery Arrives in Ukraine

According to ХВИЛЯ: Ukraine has received a shipment of 300 generators from the European Union via the rescEU Civil Protection Mechanism. This delivery is part of a larger consignment of 447 units, with a total value of 3.7 million euros. The equipment will be allocated to frontline regions and critical infrastructure, which is vital for maintaining the country's energy grid stability amidst ongoing conflict. This support is part of a broader international effort to help Ukraine withstand attacks on its civilian energy systems.

The Ministry for Communities and Territories Development provided details on the delivery. Of the 300 generators already in Ukraine, 148 units were delivered to Kyiv and 152 to Kropyvnytskyi, with the remaining equipment still en route. Distribution to communities is planned for the immediate future, prioritizing frontline regions and areas suffering the most from shelling. The priority regions include:

• Zaporizhzhia
• Odesa
• Sumy
• Mykolaiv
• Kharkiv
• Kherson
• Chernihiv
• Dnipropetrovsk

Some of the equipment will go to Kyiv's district heating enterprises and regional facilities. The generators will power social protection institutions, hospitals, shelters, and "Points of Invincibility." The machinery will be put into operation as soon as possible. Oleksiy Kuleba emphasized that despite the enemy's attempts to deprive people of basic necessities like light, heat, and water, this delivery represents a joint response to terror.

The delivered generators include 445 low-capacity units (13.75 kW and 15 kW) designed for the autonomous operation of small facilities, as well as 2 powerful industrial units (over 600 kW) for critically important infrastructure.
