Ukraine is facing the necessity to increase natural gas imports by 30% due to Russian attacks on gas facilities. Energy Minister Svitlana Hrynchuk emphasized the country's readiness to ensure the necessary gas volumes in October, November, and December.
$800 million has already been allocated for gas procurement, and additional financing from other countries is being considered to ensure Ukraine's energy security.
The Minister emphasizes that the final amount of funding will depend on circumstances such as the extent of damage to the gas infrastructure and the speed of its restoration.
