The government will allocate 6500 hryvnias for winter: who will receive assistance
According to hvylya.net: The government is preparing financial support for the most vulnerable categories of citizens before the start of the heating season 2025/2026. The 'Warm Winter' program provides for a one-time payment of 6,500 hryvnias per household.
Who can receive assistance
The program targets the most disadvantaged segments of the population, including children from low-income families, internally displaced persons, and vulnerable adults. In total, it is planned to allocate over 4.3 billion hryvnias to support 640 thousand families across the country.
How the funds will be distributed
Beneficiaries of assistance will not need to submit new applications or stand in queues. The money will be automatically credited to the household's account or a virtual 'eAssistance' card.
What the assistance can be spent on
The received funds can be used to cover basic winter needs, such as warm clothing, utilities, food, medicines, and transportation. The funds must be used within 180 days.
Important to know
Receiving assistance will not affect the receipt of subsidies. Fraudsters are trying to use fake links for financial scams, so be careful and do not share personal information.
Also, remember that Ukrainians aged 40 and over can expect new payments from the government.
