The EU will not extend protection for Ukrainians after 2027: who will be able to stay
Ukrainian MP Viktoriya Gryb reported that the European Union will not extend temporary protection programs for Ukrainian refugees after March 2027. According to her, only those who have integrated into society will be able to stay in EU countries with a job, residence permit, or citizenship.

The exception will only be made for those who can provide for themselves, Gryb noted. Her statements caused outrage, as this could pose a serious problem for the most vulnerable categories of Ukrainians who have failed to find work or legalize in other ways.
