'Ukrainian Danube Shipping Company' shows improvement
According to the Ministry of Community and Territorial Development, 'Ukrainian Danube Shipping Company' demonstrates stable improvement in production and financial indicators until September 2025.
The company is increasing transportation volumes, reducing losses, stabilizing cash flows, and implementing modern standards of corporate governance.
UDP has significantly improved the efficiency of river cargo fleet operations in the third quarter compared to the first:
- The average number of convoys increased by 3.8 times.
- The average monthly volume of cargo transported by the river fleet increased by 43%.
- The volumes of back-loading vessels doubled.
The company is also negotiating with maritime fleet charterers regarding new routes and transportation conditions, expanding its geographical activities.
Improvements in financial indicators
Thanks to cost optimization and increased management discipline, the results are also positive:
- Operational losses decreased by 1.5 times, while net losses decreased by 1.8 times.
- The share of fixed costs in the cost price decreased by 8%, and administrative costs were reduced almost by half.
- Average monthly cash inflows increased by 46%, while fixed operating payments decreased by 10%.
The company has also launched a public investment project to create a modern training complex for vessel drivers and, with the support of the UN Development Program in Ukraine and the Government of Japan, is conducting an analysis of the anti-corruption prevention system.
The 'Ukrainian Danube Shipping Company' has demonstrated significant development in its activities, showing growth in both production and financial indicators. UDP is actively expanding its geography and improving management standards, indicating positive trends in their activities.
