According to hvylya.net: In August 2025, 9,274 electric vehicles were imported to Ukraine, which is twice as many as in the same period last year (4,146 cars). This was reported by the State Customs Service.
According to customs statistics, 1,997 electric cars were new, while another 7,277 were from the secondary market. This indicates a growing demand for both affordable used cars and new electric vehicles with zero mileage.
The total customs value of the electric vehicles imported to Ukraine in August amounted to almost 8.1 billion hryvnias, compared to 3.8 billion UAH in August 2024. The state budget received only 31.9 million UAH from customs duties for these cars, compared to 12.6 million UAH in August 2024.
The volume of customs duty exemptions provided when importing electric vehicles in August this year amounted to over 1.6 billion UAH, more than double last year's amount (0.78 billion UAH).
The demand for electric vehicles in Ukraine continues to grow, which may indicate market development and increasing consumer interest in more environmentally friendly types of transportation.
