According to glavcom.ua: The production branch of 'Ukrzaliznytsia' has signed contracts with the International Howard G. Buffett Fund (HGBF) for a total of $9.2 million. According to data from Forbes, this money will be used to modernize three enterprises in the 'Repair and Production' branch.
Under the contracts, the supply of more than 20 units of high-tech equipment is planned, including lathes and milling machines, 3D printers, 3D scanners, and thermal units.
This equipment will allow for the production of spare parts that have not been supplied to Ukraine for more than 5 years. Important components for locomotive repairs, such as parts for diesel engines, gears, and others, will be manufactured on-site.
Ukrzaliznytsia is implementing advanced technologies to improve the quality of its services and ensure uninterrupted railway traffic.
