Ukrzaliznytsia launched free travel: 40 thousand travel documents have already been issued

According to ХВИЛЯ: Ukrzaliznytsia has launched the '3000 km across Ukraine' program that allows Ukrainians to travel for free up to 3000 km. Minister of Community and Territorial Development Oleksii Kuleba announced that 40 thousand free travel documents have already been issued. The program, which started on December 1, will last for four months, providing Ukrainians with the opportunity to take advantage of free travel.
The limit for one passenger is 3000 km, which opens up vast opportunities for travelers. During off-peak periods, Ukrzaliznytsia will be able to offer about 250 thousand seats a month. Oleksii Kuleba noted that this support is planned to be expanded nationwide in the future, further stimulating domestic tourism and improving the accessibility of rail transport.
Available routes for free travel
Among the routes available for free travel, the following directions can be highlighted:
- Kyiv/Zhmerinka - Shostka
- Lviv - Zaporizhzhia
- Odesa - Zaporizhzhia
- Fastiv - Konotop
- Sumi - Rakhiv
These routes will be available for Ukrainians who wish to travel within their native country, utilizing the new initiative from Ukrzaliznytsia.
